2. Setting Off

All the planning has been done, visa’s obtained, travel tickets in place so all that was left was to pack our bags. We’re not quite ready for meals on wheels, but luggage on wheels is now a must.  Last long trip we travelled with small rucksacks.

 

This time it’s half the length of time but looks like double the baggage.  Must be all the necessities now that we’re that much older.

Our friend Dave Cameron offered to take us to the airport.  Just to make sure we go. Thanks Dave.

Short flight today to London for an overnight stay at a hotel at Heathrow. We’d book the new Premier Inn at terminal 4.  They were offering really good deals when they opened so as every penny counts we booked it months ago.

Thought we could save some time tomorrow morning by checking in online for our Quantas flight to Dubai, but for some reason it wouldn’t let us. (Hope this isn’t going to be the norm on this trip). Oh well will have to transfer over to terminal 3 earlier than we wanted.
